What is the Cherry MX2A Key Switch?
The Cherry MX2A key switch is a new model of Cherry MX key switch announced by Germany's Cherry company, the manufacturer of Cherry MX, on August 24, 2023.
Evolution Points from Previous Models
The Cherry MX2A key switch has been redesigned from the conventional Cherry MX key switch, and the following improvements have been made:
- Linear click feel due to barrel-shaped spring
- Reduced wobble thanks to improved stem shape
- Enhanced robustness and smoothness with diamond-polished socket dome
- Achieves debounce time of less than 1ms by improving the contact points
Although all of these may seem like small changes, they represent evolutions that meet the needs of current keyboards, especially for high-speed typing in gaming scenes, such as linear feel and robustness.
